With the resounding success of last year’s FUTURE Fest, which brought the heart of Boston to life, we’re ready to expand on that momentum and create an even more immersive, playful, and awe-inspiring experience in 2025.

FUTURE Fest 2025 will present 10 new media art installations that invite audiences to step into the future of creativity—blending cutting-edge technology with artistic expression in ways that transcend the traditional boundaries of art and performance.

These installations won’t just be seen; they’ll be touched, felt, and experienced on a personal level by attendees of all ages.

In addition, we’re thrilled to premiere a new work by Maria Finkelmeier—a dynamic sonic and visual work seamlessly intertwining music, light, and visual artistry. This piece will transport the audience on an unforgettable journey of sound, creating a multi-sensory experience that celebrates the convergence of Boston’s rich musical heritage and forward-thinking artistic innovation.

FUTURE Fest 2024: A Case Study in Welcoming ALL to play and connect

Last year’s FUTURE Fest was a milestone for Boston’s arts and culture scene, creating a one-of-a-kind experience for attendees.

On the evening of August 3, 2024, in Boston’s City Hall Plaza, FUTURE Fest 2024 featured 17 participating regional artists—including musicians, visual artists, choreographers, and dancers, such as Allison Tanenhaus, Dephrase, Holly Danger, and the Human Movement Lab.

  • 454 free tickets reserved

  • 3,368 visits to the event page, with an estimated 1,200 attendees enjoying the festival throughout the evening.

  • FUTURE Fest was spotlighted in several major outlets, including The Boston Globe, WGBH, WBUR, Broadway World, and The Beacon Hill Times. These platforms helped amplify the festival’s reach to a diverse audience across Boston and beyond.
